The goal of this mural was to celebrate local biodiversity while helping to support it. While my work is always inspired by nature, I was keenly aware that the acrylic paint I used was contributing to microplastics in our water. I wanted to find a solution that would support the environment, leading me to find a mineral based paint (no plastic) that could absorb as much C02 as a mature tree does in six months.
